Spring Valley Ranches Hackberry Arizona

Spring Valley Ranches Hackberry Arizona

Spring Valley Ranches Land for Sale — an example.  Home for sale (self-sufficient) at Spring Valley Ranches.
This post describes Spring Valley Ranches located on the easterly slope of the Peacock Mountains 30 miles northeast of Kingman, Arizona.  This ranch community is a hidden gem of high, treed property where life is quiet and horses are welcome.  Let’s look at the basics — the land, the parcel sizes, the rules, and typical prices for land and homes.

Spring Valley Ranches — The Basics
Spring Valley Ranches, a community of 7500 acres, with properties ranging from elevations from 4100 to 4800 feet, giving it milder summers than the lower regions.  Terrain varies from steep and mountainous to gentle rolling hills.  Wells are common here!  Some homes have grid-tied electric but many are energy self sufficient.  Parcel size varies greatly. These properties afford privacy, miles of hiking and horse trails, mild year-round climate and incredible views.

Why People Like to Live in the Spring Valley Ranches

  •   Residents have privacy.
  •  Versatility: these properties can be used part-time for hunting camps, family vacations or full-time for homesteading, working from home, or survival land.
  •  Horses are welcome and right at home.
  •  The climate is mild, much cooler than the Phoenix valley and warmer than the higher Flagstaff area to the east.
  •  Views are incredible and wildlife is abundant.
  •  The life in Spring Valley Ranches is close to nature.

Ranch History

Abundant water in this dry region of the Southwest attracted ranching, road building, and the railroad.  Ranching continues today north and south of the strip across Northern Arizona divided by Interstate 40.

Pricing at Spring Valley Ranches

Currently parcels of land include some small parcels $20,000 and several 40 acre parcels for around 60K.  Properties with homes include an incredible bargain 3 bedroom on 38 Acres for $45,000 and a beautiful off-grid cabin on 40 acres for $299,900.

What’s Going on Nearby?

The Ghost Town of Hackberry with its own post office is a just short drive away and a great place for Route 66 Memorabilia.  For any serious shopping the City of Kingman is about 30 miles away.  Hackberry is a great take off point for area attractions, including the natural wonder of the Grand Canyon, the Grand Canyon Caverns, Lake Mead, the hourly street shootouts of Oatman, and plenty of state parks.

Seeking home in the Hackberry area on at least one acre up to 40. Must have a well or water supply hookup. Alternate housing o.k. such as a metal building home, cave or underground home. Alternate power is also o.k. I need a property that has no deed restictions and it can be remote as I am retired. Elevation preference is 4000 to 6000 feet. 2 bed 2 bath as a minimum and a garage would be a plus. I have up to $65,000 cash to spend, so I know it might take a while before something becomes available. A property with views and some pinion and juniper trees is my desire. I plan on growing my own food and raising some farm animals for personal consumption, so zoning must allow this. I can live anywhere in Arizona if you need to widen your search area.
