Kingman Area Communities With Land & Homes For Sale: A Guide

Kingman Area Communities With Land For Sale: a Guide

This blog post is a quick description of six rural communities in Northern Arizona east of Kingman.  Someof the historic ranches there have now been developed into mini-ranches for country living.  Elevations hence terrain and vegetation vary widely in these communities from open high desert slopes with incredible views in Windmill and Cedar Hills to rougher mountain topography dense with juniper and pinion pine.  All of this area has the advantage of water, further east water is too deep to afford to drill.  Here is a map of the area with the locations of each area pinpointed.  Each quick description has a link to a longer blog about that community.

Windmill Ranch

Windmill Ranch, much of it still a working cattle ranch, is located approximately 30 miles east of Kingman.  Views here are long and open with mountains to the east and south.  Deer and antelope abound.  Parcels range from 5 to 160 acres.  Windmill Ranch blog.

Lazy Y-U Ranch

The Lazy Y-U Ranch is located in the Hualapai Foothills southeast of Kingman.  The homes on these small ranch parcels have to be site-built and a minimum of 1500 sq ft; home prices in this area are higher than in the other areas.  Lazy Y-U Blog.

Pinion Pine Estates

Pinion Pine Estates are located about 10 miles to the east and uphill from Kingman in the foothills of the Hualapai Mountains.  The properties here are vacation get-a-ways on 1 acre parcels.  Wildlife here includes deer, elk, foxes and a wide variety of birds.  Pinion Pine Estates Blog.

Cedar Hills Ranches

Cedar Hills Ranches are located about 20 miles to the northeast as you head east on the I 40.  The climate is mild year-round at an elevation between 3200 to 4000 feet.  Parcel sizes vary greatly here, though most are 10 acres and up.  Cedar Hills Ranch Blog.

Spring Valley Ranches

Spring Valley Ranches is about 30 miles north east on Route 66 near the ghost town of Hackberry (at 4500 to 5800 feet) up the slope of the Peacock Mountains to high treed land.  Spring Valley Ranches Blog.

Willow Creek Ranch

Willow Creek Ranch is uphill on I 40 from Cedar Hills (at 4500 to 5800 feet) just after the ecosystem changes from open vegetation to dense juniper and pinion pines.  The land changes here, too, hills get steeper, canyons deeper.  Willow Creek Ranch
